I’m pleased to confirm that HMRC have now made the final touches to the NI Employment Allowance (EA).

Starting in April 2014 the EA will be available to all employers with less than 250 employees, will be worth up to £2,000 per year and will be given in the form of a credit against your Employers’ NI contributions.

According to HMRC it is a one-claim procedure and all that will be needed is a “tick in the box” and they will then calculate how much EA can be knocked off the amount you pay to HMRC each month or quarter.

They have also confirmed that we don’t need to do anything yet and that they will notify us of the exact procedure nearer to April next year.

So….up to £2,000 off your NI bills next year – worth having!
