I’ve been advised by a few clients recently that the “scam” emails supposedly from HMRC offering tax rebates have surfaced again. Not surprising really as the end of the last tax year has recently passed so I can see the scammers taking advantage of the perceived opportunity.
Please don’t fall victim to these scams – be very suspicious of any unexpected emails (or phone calls) from HMRC or other apparently official sources. HMRC will NEVER email you out of the blue with the offer of a tax rebate!
